• Suicidal ideation, threat, and suicide attempt are considered psychiatric emergencies.

• In case of any suicidal ideation, threat, or attempt, the patient must be immediately transferred to the nearest psychiatric emergency department.
• If access to a psychiatric emergency department is not possible, contact the attending physician or social emergency centers immediately.
