Commemorating World Environmental Health Day at Iranian Psychiatric Hospital

On the occasion of World Environmental Health Day, a ceremony was held at Iranian Psychiatric Hospital to commemorate this important day.

September 26, 2026 (October 4, 1405 in the Iranian calendar) has been designated as World Environmental Health Day. On this occasion, Dr. Hazratizadeh, Director of Iranian Psychiatric Hospital, together with a number of hospital officials, congratulated Ms. Engineer Saba Tavana, the hospital’s Environmental Health Officer, and expressed their appreciation for her valuable efforts, sense of responsibility, and professional dedication toward improving the environmental health and safety standards of the hospital.

During the ceremony, Dr. Hazratizadeh highlighted the importance and position of the Environmental Health Unit in healthcare facilities and emphasized its significant role in protecting the health of patients, staff, and visitors.

He also referred to some of the key responsibilities and activities of the Environmental Health Unit, including monitoring drinking water quality and food safety, properly managing infectious and chemical waste, monitoring air quality and ventilation systems, controlling insects and vectors, monitoring the environmental health conditions of various hospital departments, the kitchen and laundry facilities, and overseeing disinfection and sanitization processes.

At the end of the ceremony, as a gesture of appreciation for the valuable efforts and services of the hospital’s Environmental Health Officer, Ms. Engineer Saba Tavana was honored with the presentation of a flower pot.
