The Specialized Treatment Center of the Iranian Psychiatric Hospital, on the occasion of Mental Health Week 2025, under the theme “Access to Mental Health Services in Crises and Emergencies”, has established a safe and evidence-based environment for the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) through a multidimensional, team-based approach.
PTSD treatment at this center goes far beyond medication or psychotherapy alone. It encompasses a comprehensive range of specialized services, including occupational therapy, electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), ketamine therapy, repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), nutritional and dietary therapy, individual and group psychotherapy, and social work support. These interventions are delivered within a framework that prioritizes patient safety, environmental hygiene, and infection control, ensuring a calm, secure, and effective therapeutic setting for recovery.
Furthermore, the collaborative efforts among psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, nutritionists, nurses, and support units exemplify a successful model of integrated, patient-centered care.
Ultimately, by ensuring effective access to mental health services in times of crisis, the Iranian Psychiatric Hospital serves as a practical embodiment of the 2025 Mental Health Week theme, and stands as a model for the development of comprehensive psychiatric care nationwide.
