
Emergency evacuation drill with the participation of medical staff, administrative personnel, and patients was held at Iranians Psychiatric Hospital. This drill was designed and carried out with the aim of enhancing staff preparedness in facing critical situations such as earthquakes, fires, and other unforeseen incidents.

Scenario:
In order to prepare staff, assess and identify possible obstacles and issues, and ensure the quick and safe evacuation of buildings:
In this drill, the hospital’s internal rescue teams, in cooperation with firefighters from Station 100, emergency services, and the hospital’s crisis management unit, practiced the evacuation of patients.
Emergency exit routes, safe assembly points, and the transfer methods for patients with special conditions were evaluated.
Dr. Hazratizadeh, Head of Crisis Operations, said on the sidelines of the drill:
“Preparedness against crises is one of the main pillars of ensuring the safety of patients and staff. This drill was an opportunity to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the emergency evacuation system and plan for its improvement.”
Results and Feedback:
Based on the initial assessment, the drill was carried out successfully, and coordination between various hospital units was satisfactory. The final report of this drill was presented at the Crisis Committee meeting on 1404/05/15 (August 6, 2025) to be used in developing safety guidelines.
